Welcome to the Langley Almshouses
Langley Almshouses was founded in 1617, with originally 4 cottages built since then more cottages have been built with the newest flats being built in 1972 along with Warden’s flat. Our accommodation currently comprises of an individual flats, bungalow or houses within the Almhouse complex, these houses comprise of a mixture of 17th Century houses and 20th Century flats and bungalows. All buildings have carefully renovated over the centuries with the residents in mind, all properities have central heating, water and electric facilities available.
We are very pleased to say that the work on Seymour cottages won a President’s Award from the Prince of Wales, head of the Almshouses Association.
